jackshaft problem

hi i have a problem i was tightening the driven pully on my yerf dog model 32001 6.0 tecumseh engine and on the right side some things snapped off like rings... and now the jackshaft slides in and out of the clutch plate what can i do to fix it, what do i need?

not sure but i think your bearing is what came apart. if thats the case then you need the 1 3/8 x 5/8 with snap ring bearing to replace. thats the most common bearing and jackshaft size.

Yerfdog jack shafts use bearings with retaining rings, that's what most likely snapped off causing side to side play

im actually going to pull the jackshaft out and replace all the bearings and rings and stuff what goes on a jackshaft, sorry im new to this

those new bearings come with the snap ring already on them.

no but the bearing has the snap ring on it as a stop. pop out old one and knock in new one till snap ring bottoms out.
