Trying to figure out what type of centrifugal clutch and js/I sprocket i need to use. so far this what I have 18 inch tires, a 35 tooth gear on the axle and 13 tooth on the input side of jackshaft. This is an off road kart, built for ditch climbing but also want some speed in the range 35-45 miles. Motor is 13 hp of fan old snowblower. I guessing 1:7 or 1:8 ratio but reading unsure.

You won't get ditch climbing torque AND 40mph with a centrifugal clutch, regardless of your gear ratio. A torque converter would really be the right option for you IMO. And you can get a clone 40 series for not much more than a 1" cent clutch that will handle 13 hp. A 6:1 ratio with a 40 series would definitely climb ditches, and get you to about 33mph, plus some engine mods, would put you right in your desired speed range
Though if you want to use a centrifugal clutch, you are correct, you'll want to be in around the 7:1 range with 18" tires. That would put you at 27mph, then you could mod the engine for the speed.
You will still be disappointed with the torque though. Centrifugal clutches kind of force you to pick one or the other, and they do not perform well under the partial throttle conditions of off roading.

What is the kart? and what size is the chain for the sprockets you have?...

Your going to need to use a different chain on one side of the jackshaft to get the final drive of #50 chain to work right... The Tc doesnt have space for the #50 sprockets to fit...
#40 is the biggest they make it with....
I'd just go with one sprocket size overall(#35 or #40/41), as that will lessen the complications of buying and later then modifying the ratio if necessary.
Thats is 18" OD tire size, not rim size... right??

That thing is huge. You might still consider 7 or 8 to 1 ratio, even with a torque converter, simply because of the weight.- Status
