Jack shaft

OK having some major troubles. Just recently got my 11hp clone and now the jack shaft is going to be too short. I have a couple of options, I can either change out the mount which looks like it will be expensive and since I don't weld it makes it that much harder. The other option is to get a longer jack shaft. The problem that I am running into is that the shafts go from 14" to 19" and I need like 17". Does anyone know of any place that sells this size? I need 3/4 diam. with 3/16 keyway. Any help would be appreciated.

Get a 19" and cut it down to 17"...?

I ended up custom ordering one through BMI and they were very helpful. Unless your keyway is the whole length that would be a problem, also it would need to be retapped, I don't have the means to do that work.

Make sure that the bearing on the jack shaft is close to the driven pulley.
