hello, i've been seeing on the net, that you go-cart guys have sharp pencils.
i need a little help, I have built a tumbler. for tumbling brass
I reload. and need shine-nee brass "bling-bling'
the tumbler turns to fast. its on steriods
it needs to be slowed down
its 3450 rpm. [ whirlpool dryer part # 279827] 1/3 hp spl 120/60 5.0 a
the drive pulley is a 1/2" pulley
the tumble drum is 6 1/2"
i think i need a jack shaft in between the 2 pullies[ drive/ drum] but need to know the size of the 2 jack shaft pulleys
in order to get the rpm to around 100
distance center to center of drive and drum is 12 1/2"
can ya'll help

If your motor turns 3450 and you need 100 RPM, that's an overall reduction of 34.5:1. You would be very hard pressed to do this with pulleys, even with a jackshaft. You're better to find a motor that turns a lot slower to begin with, or source some sort of reduction gearbox.

i went back to the net and found i was wrong. its 1750 rpm not 3400

my math is screwed up. i figured 1-- 5 1/2" pulley and 1-- 2" pulley
but.. i skipped math class when susie q smilled at me!
thats the reason i asked ya'll for help
