Welcome brother!

Too bad our definition of "green" and the governments/hippies definition of "green" are two totally different greens.

For a fleeting moment, I thought we were gonna have to deal with a tree hugger. ...Phew...I was ready to go into a political diatribe.
i found out that it has no spark and i cant figure out why.
If problem is coil/CDI pack, I have a possible fix. Get mom's toaster oven (not microwave) ready.
And no...we're not gonna make smores or cook up (dare I say it) spam!
Please post mower model number. Sticker should look similar to this and will tell me precisely what you have:

There are 2 CdI configurations.
What you have is an 'open to run' CDI. This means that grounding lug should not be grounded to produce spark.
I have run into some non operating :mad2: L-B CDI's and the following is what works 80% of the time.
Pre-heat toaster oven (not microwave) to 200° F max, and bake CDI for 2 hours.
When finished baking, drop CDI (while hot) into coffee can filled with enough WD-40 to completely cover CDI.
Gallon cans of WD-40 available at Home Depot and Lowe's.
Let sit in WD-40 until cool (about 15 minutes).
Reason for WD-40 is it's ability to drive out moisture which is #1 reason why L-B CDI packs fail.
2 reasons for baking:
1.) Drives out moisture.
2.) Heating causes everything to expand allowing WD-40 to 'suck in' to areas as CDI cools (contracts).
As I stated, this works most of the time but not all the time.
This is a cheap fix as CDI packs can cost between $30 ~ $60.
Don't forget to set gap at .010 inch using a feeler gauge.
Torque to spec, 25 in.lbs. max.
Use of torque wrench and correct feeler gauge cannot be over emphasized.
how many hp and displacement does it have?
4.5 HP and 127cc's or 7.75 cu. in.

Not worth very much unless in 'like new' condition.
Got most of mine for free.
The ones I did pay for had low hours and were no more than 2 or 3 years old.

Yeah...post it and see what happens.
My guess is that you got your monies worth just by getting it running. Good show!
