Great looking kart!!

The steering setup is very similar to what I had to deal with on the mower I'm converting. Had a huge amount of play in it.

I decided to gut the whole front end and build a new one from scratch..Probably went a bit overkill on it, but I enjoyed the challenge.

Looking froward to seeing your's when it's finished.

what's a new one run, anyway.

here's what a skinny tire looks like, on a wide wheel.

got some new wheels on the way, just stretchin em a little, so they will mount right up on the 5" wide wheel.

then, i figured, while i had it on the lift, i would do a little more. it's not finished, i have got a pair of 5 1/2" wide front wheels, a new drive sprocket hub, and sprocket, the original sprocket was 24 teeth on a 14" outer diameter, and, the new outer diameter is 17", so i added a few teeth, 9. i think it's close enough for the 4 sp. transmission, and a few bushings, all, on the way, so, it'll have to sit til then.

check this out, not bad for hubcaps, also, white letters like the 57, and the coke cart, or not?

oh,

folks, i've purchased a total of 8 of these type of carts, since the coke cart was purchased before christmas. i currently own 1, with 1 being delivered later this evening, 1st model t.

it runs about 30 - 35 in high gear, and pulls sufficiently for the look. i very pleased with the overall end result of the 8" wheel change over.

my son and i are gonna work on that, when the weather gets better. found a guy that has one he completely redone, for car shows, and left the 6" set up, with the baby moon caps on it, and he wants one too.

the pic was from the world of wheels car show, a week, or, so, ago
