I'm a little late to this thread aswell... Looks good...
You can weld the thin material if you copper back the seam. It'll absorb the heat and alow it to make at least a decent puddle/spotweld.. You can hammer or grind to blend...

Those little 6in wheels are a bit small for this particular frame.. but they will work for another pile of parts I have...

So... Ill try for 8in wheels. I couldnt find a 3/4 bushing to use like I did for the 6in wheels.
Instead, I used a chunk of 3/4 shaft with a keyway and whittled out the center on the lathe.

None of my tool holders would reach inside the wheel, had to use a boring bar.

This was not the best method... :roflol:

Ill save the hubs for a future project. Should be handy for something.
