Is wooden frame safe

a person told me a wooden frame isn't safe is that only if your going really fast or is it true at all

IMO, Wooden frames are NOT safe. The only time i would ever consider a wooden frame would be if like the kart is going to be used in a backyard with lots of room and its going to have a top speed of like 15-20. Anything faster than that i wouldnt use one and if it going to be used anywhere besides a backyard i would definitely not recommend one.

wooden frame is great for a push kart that you're only gonna roll down a hill.

a new welder at harbor freight is only $99. save up and do it right. :)

Well I've built one but it is only two peices of wood and ill only be going 35 20

A powered wooden go kart had better be exceptionally well built, or restricted to very low speeds. Dying sucks. Dying with a million splinters in your @ss is the express train to he//.

Not to sound like a jerk, but-

You're kidding, right? You wanna do 35MPH on THAT? Sorry- that's a Darwin Award nominee if I've ever seen one. Save that for soapbox races.

I suggest you start with a serviceable steel frame off CL or something.
