As i mentioned in my introduction a few months ago i am planning on building a motorized track sled ,i have been acquiring parts that i think i need,so i have a13 hp honda clone engine,to which i am going to install a 14 tooth hillard clutch, then to a 60 tooth sprocket then on the same shaft a 17 tooth sprocket to another 17 tooth sprocket which is attached to my drive that will drive the track ,which has a 8 inch diameter .So the big question will this work, open to suggestions.
Thanks:cheers2:

If I understand correctly, you will have a jackshaft with the 60t &17t, then the 17t connects to another 17t on the drive axle, obviously as a ground clearance measure, correct?

As the two 17s cancel each other out, that means the drive ratio will be around 4.2:1 on 8" diameter tracks (or rims?); with the big engine, it may work but, I'd have a 72t sprocket handy, just in case...

It seems my dealer doesn't carry 72 tooth sprocket #40,so i was wondering if went with a 40 tooth sprocket at the end instead of the 17 would this work.
Thanks again:cheers2:
