well the solder im looking at melts at 430 degrees and this one goes to 2,000 so i thought it would most hopefully melt it

I don't see what torch you're talking about.

If it's small it probably cannot put out enough heat to get the item hot enough to solder. That 2000 degree temp is the flame, but if it's a small flame it's not going to work on something large.

i was going to use it to tack a kart together, because this summer at a local welding shop the owner said i could come weld anything this summer for free so i was just after holding one together till i got there

Just...no. The equipment you posted is sufficient for joining small electrical wires together, not tacking a kart frame.

I doubt you could even get a kart frame to stay together using larger solder and a torch.

your probably going to need to weld it... could you cut the peices and assemble them at the shop?

only other thing would be a jig, but i would bet it wouldn't hold good enough, although a jig would make it easier to reassemble at the shop.

soldering a kart frame is like trying to tape a airplane together....infact you would probably have better luck with ductape than that little torch and solder....just cut your pieces and wait till u can weld it all up.

haha im trying to talk my grandma into letting me get some, and i used to have one at my dads job i used to do doughnuts in the parking lots and stuff, and haha alright

i got to wait on the welder, but ill work on the angle grinder, i do have a bench grinder tho and blue, he thinks hes going fast
