I don't know. All this catering to a (one-person) minority is catching on these days. Making the forum bend for you and going against the masses who have no issues with the photo sizes... just seems wrong... like the transgender minority that's making all the fuss about bathrooms.

We might be in the minority...but I'm not the ONLY person who has issues with HUGE pictures...and it's actually a HURRAY for me and F you mentality and a lack of effort on the part of the SMALL minority that insist on these HUGE pics.

Look around this forum....see how over 90% of the members KNOW how to post pics and even use thumbnails.

Seems to me...THEY are the ones that want to be difficult and different!

BTW: This issue was polled in the past ....and THE OVERWHELMING MAJORITY preferred thumbnails! So...don't even go there...that just because I'm a minority in the vocal dept. I'm NOT a party of one.

Yeah...too bad I'm the ONLY person there that sees a problem with the HUGE pics.:sarcasm:

No the first 2 post there agree with you, and give further evidence Against Huge pics.
Paul even suggested/threatened moderating out Large pics.

I know, and you are not the only one, this is ongoing.
Monsignor87 Just posted a Huge pic of his new Kart in the back seat of an SUV, on my Computer all I get is the cieling of an SUV and have to scroll around just to see it.

The other thing is clickable thumbnails are enlargable (for Me) to 4 different levels! So I can get detail If I want. We always ask for pics, then get this crap!

It is DEFINITELY not a one person majority. We did a poll and people OVERWHELMINGLY voted for thumbnails. You can post thumbnails using URL's, like from photobucket, or by actual files stored on your PC. It is just a bit of lazyness, and no regard for other people that perpetuates the problem. If a person knows there is a better way to post pics and still does it the old way, then there is something wrong with them. It doesn't take any longer to post as thumbnails either

I have been editing out large pics for years now. I have slacked a little in the last few month, but i also hate large pics. People with slow bandwidth, and data charges have a hard time loading those types of pics. We aren't all privileged to live in first world countries who have super fast bandwidth speeds and unlimited data.

Ok so just how big is TOO! BIG!?

---------- Post added at 12:18 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:01 PM ----------

One HUGE problem I have with thumbnail pics is that they need to be opened in another window that takes TIME. Then One must close said window and return to the thread and back and forth all day long..... If you are just catching up on things and don't log in the thumbnails will not open and request you to log in to do so. Then once logged in to view said picture in normal size you become locked into that picture. Very AGGRAVATING!

Just saying.........
Go ahead and try it.

Right then I can click the pic again and make it even bigger, then I get a + and - to see even more detail if needed. Very helpful.
With Big pics If I lick them it takes me botophuket and same size pics!
Thumbnails Rock!

Ok I guess my point was missed?
Log out, and click on a thumbnail.
I don't always log it to check on things.
Some one (non member) viewing a thread cannot expand the pic so it may not be as useful.
So I ask again just how big is too big?
I like to use 800x600 and seams to fit the format of the forum? (Feed back here please)
I'm just trying to find a compromise between the two,and not get labeled as arrogant or lazy or privileged etc, but me personally enjoy larger pics when I view and I know I'm not alone.
Thanks
