... as is... Id have to say yes... too short. However, if you can remove some of those washers/spacers, behind the driver pulley, it may give you the length needed.
Not the 'whole' slide collar needs to be on the shaft... but Id atleast try to get 1/3 of it on. The end bolt should sandwich everything together fine after that.
Not that I know of(for your application), maybe someone'll chime in an have a proper answer... only thing I know to make it longer is to replace it w/ a longer drive shaft from another engine or new(which means tracking one down, thatll work for your engine... opening up your block and replacing the shorter w/ the longer).
I put an equal number of washers behind each clutch so the two chain sprockets line up. I don't know what else to do because I can't move the axel and the engine mounting slots only go back and forth not sideways.
Btw, I don't have a lathe.
Uhhh, move the axle hub to lineup with the clutch assembly. The tav needs to be installed correctly, then the engine and axle sprocket hub should be adjusted to line up correctly.....
