Hello everyone,

I am new in the go kart scene and was hoping to get some advice from you well seasoned veterans. I just finished my first build of a Murray Explorer a few weeks ago and I joined this forum just a few days after.

Anyway, I was driving home from work today when I found this guy literally throwing away this go kart. I quickly pulled over and took it off his hands for free. This could either be dumb luck or a waste of time which brings me to my list of questions!

#1 Is this a Carter Super Wheels?
#2 Whats the normal selling price for one of these? (I live in NJ, its obviously different everywhere)
#3 Is it worth restoring?

It seems to be complete as far as parts go but Ill definitely need a list of new things such as tires, motor, clutch, chain, brake drum, seat cover, bearings, etc.

Let me know what you guys think!

I'd say YOU LUCKY DOG. That is a cool find. It is just a nice solid yard Kart. No you did not find the Holy Grail of karts or anything but tires paint Motor Clutch you got a nice little kart. It is only worth what somebody is willing to pay. In Ca cleaned up and running 500 bucks.

I happen to have a race car too but she doesn't like to go off road! I have a passion for taking old things and making them look new so I would have to agree it is definitely priceless!
