Is a #35 chain the same as a 428 or 420 chain?

Unfortunately in the UK I cannot source any #35 chains although a local motorcycle dealer is offering 420 and 428 chain and I am wondering if one of them may be the same as a #35. I am a newbie with chain sizes but just want to check before I have to order from the US. Any help appreciated many thanks!!

Can you use a #41 chain on a 420 sprocket?

I've already bought 10 feet of #41 chain along with a #41 clutch for my 670cc project.

Most wheel sprockets are 420 so it would be great to be able to use them.

420 is the beefier euro-version of the #41 size
rollers, pitch and plate spacing is identical with #41 and 420 chain.. only difference is that 420 chain uses much bigger pins and thus takes a much heavier tensile load ;)

420 sprockets thus should fit #41 chain perfectly (#40 chain is slightly wider and the rollers are a bit off.. but since most consider #40 and #41 compatible.. you should be fine with either chain on 420 sprockets)
But if you have the chance, buy the much better 420 chain instead ;)
