Is 50cc enough to push 140 pounds

Them 66cc (so called 80cc 🤣) gas bike engines Are maybe 2hp, but if you can tune a 2t and really wring them for all they can give you can make 5hp all day, if you're real good and precise closer to 6.5hp. I happen to know those will haul 250lbs of bike, rider, and fuel at as much as 65mph... if ported, upgraded, and tuned properly.

The thing is they have an internal reduction of 4:1 between the crank and clutch.
I'm new to this kind of stuff what is the 2t

2t aka 2 cycle or 2 stroke, all of which is short for two stroke cycle engine.

2t is notorious for having an insane power to weight ratio pound for pound which is why they are used on chainsaws, trimmers and other handheld gas equipment.

Since a 2cycles only power restraint is it's ability to make rpm, things can get quit bonkers.

A well tuned and ported one can easily spin 20k maybe more where very few 4cylce engines can even rev past 10-12k without having issues or bombing

How so? Internal reduction and final drive ratio are NOT the same thing... I'm left to assume that what ever "pit bike" engine this is is more of a pocket bike engine with a gear reduction drive box bolted to it that doubles as a centrifugal clutch.
If that's the case, you're in for severe disappointment, those clutches are cheap trash, the engines are a bad joke with little room to tune them and due to their small size good luck with any upgrades to squeeze some power or extra quality.

In the off chance you're referring to a Lifan you're better off getting a 150cc 4speed

"Cheap" won't get you reliable, but if you want to keep it simple and reliable then you should probably just get a Predator 212 and a Tav2 torque converter and a genuine comet belt for it.

You're going to be into this project for quite a bit in just parts fabrication materials and that's assuming you have a welder and the skills.

I'm not even trying to be mean, it's just the reality of your desired project... it's already been done many different ways

RLS, I like how you told me I was wrong then turned around and said the same thing I did.
I definitely did NOT call you "wrong" about anything. I DID make a comment about a totally different 2t which was benign in nature, but I fished for more information before coming to the same conclusion you did perhaps a little prematurely.
That "50cc 2stroke pit bike engine" he's referring to is not only NOT a pit bike engine, but they are total garbage as well.

I like how you failed to notice he is trying to play cheap and dirty but expects reliable... or the apparent lack of knowledge and probably skill.

Not that a lack of knowledge or skills are either one a bad thing considering everyone has to start learning somewhere if their gonna learn.
