is 35MPH sound a little to fast?

i might be wrong but form looking at posts form other people on a bunch of sites, it sounds like my kart shouldn't be able to go 35MPH. the engine is just a 6HP Tecumseh, 12 tooth centrifugal clutch, 60 tooth axle sprocket. should it be able to go this fast?

also are there go kart drag races? because i was thinking about making a kart that i could put my snowmobiles engine on.

Put that sled engine in place of the 6hp tec.

As for 35mph, you should be fine with that.

i think it would be to fast, its a 540cc. it makes my sled go 90mph, that would fly in a go kart.

No such thing as too fast, gear it down. 540 is a lot i guess, but i'd still go for it, or looks for a 340.
