So I've been reading a bit more, trying to research my build so everything is lined up properly, all my ducks are in a row.

I've ordered an engine mount plate to replace the home made, thrown together, misaligned with the rear sprocket junk someone welded together on my kart.

I'm going to be putting this CVT kit on a Predator 212

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Predator-21...her_Vehicle_Parts&hash=item2c90363791&vxp=mtr

I had a little spare time, so began reading CVT kits being put on Predator engines, and I came across this information contained in this link " ........ If your machine uses a Centrifugal Clutch now and you would like to change over to a Comet Torque Converter, the easiest way to determine whether you can easily install a torque converter is to turn your centrifugal clutch around with the sprocket teeth INBOARD (Mount the clutch backwards on the crankshaft) ..... "

This information came from the following link - http://www.gokartsupply.com/tavapp.htm

The CVT I'm getting is essentially an exact clone of the TAV2.

So, my question is - is this relevant on the predator as well? Should I mount the centrifugal clutch backwards as it suggests, to line up with the rear sprocket when putting on the new engine mount plate?

well it's a hint.. independend of the type of engine you're going to install,

you currently do not have an engine and not even a motor mount...
So, just buy the TAv2 kit and align the mounting plate according to the TAV, not an inboard mounted clutch.

While that's a hint, it's not the 'exact' spot of where the TCs sprocket's going to be in the end of course ;)
