I was just looking at 2 and 4 stroke animations and i came across this site

Anyone else think that this desing is amazing?it total blew my mind when i found out there was some many engine desines!!

I think the Wankel-designed rotary engine is pretty neat. Don't know much about them, though. I need to learn more.

Less bizzarre, but still very cool is the 2-stroke Detroit Diesel series.

Two great sites that i found very usefull i understainding how this engine works.and deisels have always struck me as cool, I dont know why though

OT [The reason I started looking at stuff like this today is because i had a suden epifany,i have all of a sudden wanted to learn!!!!ive done some much reaserch today my brain hurts!i guess i just learned to embrace learning]

Mazda rotaries are very similar if not are wankel rotary IIRC.

Down here they are pretty common. Seen a turbo'd one with 6 speed transmission in a lawn mower.
