Did this cool mod to my fairing (is that how it's spelled?) I'm estimating a 5hp gain. Maybe not quite 5 hp but it's gotta be at least good for 3hp. There's one on each side. Min 1.5hp per side increase seems legit but I'm still thinking it'll be closer to 5. My target is beef up the 7hp champion engine snd get her upto 32.7hp. I think this is within reason if I add a few more decknals and maybe step up my jack shaft game. I've heard of a guy that had either 5 or 6 jack shafts but I'm gonna go all out and try and pull off 9. That's right. 9 jack shafts. I know right..... crazy f'n speed. Anyhow If included some before and after pics. I took the fairing off because I decided I'm going clear coat it but d@MN this is crazy fast now. Would you believe that guy originally had skin when I put those stickers on?

Cool decal.
lol, 5horse gain from a sticker sounds so RICEr-ish. Now if it had a DynoCam sticker with a good DynoCam sticker to back it up then i would believe the sticker gives 5 horses.

The jackshaft thing sounds like something i would do haha :D
instead of gearing down for torque, gear up for speed. each gear on the jackshaft would start big and get progressively smaller. idk if you would need THAT many jackshafts but i think you could do something there.
Just factor in Parasitic Loss

They say the clutch will slip and burn quickly and acceleration will be bad. i'm guessing you could just weld the clutch shoes to the bell housing so it will never slip BUT it will always be spinning. JUST GET READY TO ENGINE BRAKE WITH THE KILL SWITCH AND USE DISC BRAKES . could rig the brake pedal with a switch to kill the engine when slightly pressed. it will start the engine right back up when released as long as the flywheel is still moving about 1000 rpms.
So after all that ^ it would take some getting used to keeping the speed you want. Mostly brake-pedal manipulation once you are up to speed.

an advanced setup could be to rig an electric start kit to the gas pedal so when it gets pressed 1/3 of the way in it will start(with the main kill switch turned on first). That or just pull the recoil.

Somethings parasitic :2guns:

Anyhow Idk if I have enough room for so many actual jack shafts so maybe I'll just put all the different gears on 1 bar. As a matter of fact I think I'll just use the gearing from a mountain bike wheel and set up a derailor. Patent pending you can't use my idea unless you actually do it not just talk about it. And you gotta post a video.

1 more whiskey then it's time for beddy bye. It's already 2am here and I have AA in the morning

But: those meetings are entertaining: "Hi...my name is BDL and I'm an alcoholic and a drug abuser...." HI BDL" " I like to get sheetfaced and go online pretending I'm building a really cool gokart and try to fool people that are way smarter than me....I'm only here because of a court order...and does anyone have a spare dollar so I can get a (cough cough) cup of coffee?"

Everybody at work thinks its funny that I have a Breath - Alcohol - Ignition - Interlock - Device on my car. (its true). They want to know how much it cost me to install one on my gokart.

If you haven't clear coated yet, maybe you want to consider swapping the Maple Leaf with a Blackhawk. This is going on a Zamboni, right?

NOW WE KNOW WHY YOU GOT INTO KARTING!!!!

I got a DWI back in the late 70's...early 80's....paid a small east Texas lawyer a couple of grand....never went to court.

He made a phone call and said it was reduced to public intoxication....20 years later I found out I have a DWI on my record....

Of course by that time...I've got no clue who that shyster was....all I know is I spent the night in a jail in Marshall Texas.....

One of these days...I need to get that crap straightened out....

I'm thinking a "small east Texas lawyer" is a 5'3" balding, slightly heavy-set guy in a cheap suit who has a big belt buckle and a broad-brimmed Stetson hat.

Lawyers don't wear hats....(they ought to wear bandanas over their faces tho
...)

Otherwise....yeah...pretty much nailed it....can't tell them apart from small town sheriffs when they're not in uniform.

Edit: Except the sheriff always has a toothpick in his mouth....BTW....Ever see Deliverance? ??? Little known fact: the guy that played the sheriff at the end was actually John Dickey....who wrote' Deliverance' ....I thought his cameo appearance was one of the best performances of the whole movie....he nailed it!!! And he just kinda got thrown into it at the last minute!

I live in GA. I know about Deliverance. A movie that set the Southerner stereotype for generations of yankees.
