Hey all. Just bought a used cart. It needed some work and Im mechanically inclined but still need advice.
So, its a Manco kart, from what I can tell. The engine is aftermarket but I cant see where it came from or what it is. The person I bought it from said it was a 196cc. I removed the fuel pump and turned it into a gravity feed. Had to reconfigure the throttle cable, springs, etc to get it to function right.
All that done, she ran like ****! Fast and awesome.
In the middle of a ride, she just flat out stopped moving. The engine still runs, idles and revs. The clutch is spinning and all chains are spinning as well. Its a double chain set up and sing wheel drive.
Again, all chains and sprockets spin but the drive wheel doesn't.
I haven't taken it apart yet, just wanted to see what opinions or advice might be out there.

None without pics I'm afraid..

if the engine runs, the clutch engages (chain runs) and the rear sprocket runs as well..
a ssingle wheel driven kart will turn it's wheel (well as long as the sprocket is still attached)

So, something's wrong, to see what's wrong we need to SEE ;)

Never mind. Pulled the drive wheel off and found that it was missing the shaft pin. Shaft was just spinning with nothing holding it back. LOL Good to go now!
