Increasing engine RPM

Hey I am getting a Honda Clone engine in a month or so and I wanted to increase the rpm's because I want it to go faster. I don't have any idea how to do that and I don't even know if that would make it go faster so if someone could help that would be great. Thanks

did you remove the governor yet?

and yes, it would make your kart go faster.

If you want a bit more "oomph", governor is restricting.

If you're using a GX200 you could put a GX160 governor spring on it. Raises RPM a tad.

OK all i have to say is if your really gona want it to go faster.'
1. remove gov
2. billet rod
3. billet flywheel
4. High lift cam
5. new valves and springs
im not sure what else but there is more

Simple crap
1.remove gov
2. cone airfilter
3. new header
4. new carb(mabey)

yes i did how the hell could i forget. Im doin the ghetto port and polish right now to my 20 hp briggs heads.

How are you doing it ghetto style? wooden dowel with sandpaper and a power drill?

Nope scotch brite bolt and hand drill. My parents dont let me use power tools in my room :angelsad2: and im to lazy to go downstairs in my basement ahahah And for the head since its a flat head sand paper and more scotch brite.
