In search of a motor

ok so now that I gots me a kart, Im gonna need a motor, I am looking for a 6.5hp and up motor, but not a huge motor, something like a honda or a clone, I know some of u guys who put bike engines on their racing karts had motors on them prior to the swap. I really appreciate anyone who can help me out. im looking at around a 100-200 price budget (not including shipping)

just build up one of those flatties i saw in the pics, or buy a new clone.

both of those flatties are out of commision, trust me lol, the motor that was on the blue kart consisted of parts from those two lol. my main idea was waiting till HF had a sale and get one for 120$

Buying a new clone is prolly your best bet, with used engines you never know what your gonna get, especially if they were in a kart.

I have a Harbor Freight clone that was bought in October but it has MAYBE 2 hours on it because a friend and I decided to buy 4 wheelers instead.

18lb valve springs
AGK filter adapter and k&n style filter
AGK valve cover breather kit
custom exhaust made by me!

The only problem with it, is I pushed my go-kart a little too close to a wall and it kind of twisted the filter a little bit.. It doesn't affect performance, just appearances.

Hah, yes it runs! My previous motor hated life and died so I bought this one as a replacement. I only ran it for a couple hours then decided to just get a 4wheeler.

And now both of my go-karts are taking up space so I have a ton of parts I've been trying to sell off of them. I have a thread on here listing a lot.

i would say get a new 6.5 hp clone
3/4" clutchs for them are like 50 bucks
so your looking at like 250 bucks ish which is a pretty decent deal
