I'm new to the whole go kart thing. Building one for my son.. I almost killed misled on the 1st test drive. Throttle cable doesn't retreat so the thing took off wouldn't stop. Didn't know what to do. Jump, crash, put my feet out and try to stop it that way. Finally chain came off and I was saved. I haven't gotten all my parts which one part is a kill switch. I also have a new throttle cable coming. Just not here yet. Couldn't stop laughing AFTERWARDS.

For some of us that have balls or just so dumb we do it we run no brakes no kill switch no throttle and hardly any thing to be on its kind of like riding on a engine with 4 wheels

I like the color marked pedals, green for go and red for stop... good for the young'uns..

At least we have the pedal layout in our favor; gas is always on the right. Easier for the kids to transition to driving cars. And hey, the two seat karts invariably have the wheel on the left too, don't they?
