Thats good, Saftey first, But with that gearing, it might be able to pull wheelies lol, well probably not but Maybe you should put a throttle limiter too.

Funny you say that. The guy at "Go Kart World" told me the same thing. He suggested wheelie bars...

Actually this thing has a torque averter system and a gear box (forward/reverse/neutral). The first run that was made didn't show any sign of wheelies so I think he's safe. The speed doesn't seem to be affected by hills so I think it's going to be a blast.

I see a problem though... you’re going to need to lock your toolbox until he’s 10.

I see him in the garage wrenching on it while your out and about then doughnuts in the front yard before you get home at least by the time he’s 8, lol.
