I'm assuming I should bleed these brakes?

So the kart I've been DIYing works! (Thanks to a lot of help from here)

I recently installed a new brake setup using a hydraulic kit from Gopowersports.

After installing, I don't get much braking force at all. The brake pedal goes all the way down and it's that *squishy* feeling. Here's a video of my just pumping the peda and how it looks on the caliper.

So everything I read suggests I need to bleed these brakes even though they should have come pre-bled.

Just want to make sure I'm not overlooking any other potential issues or if this sounds right.

Also, assuming bleeding is the case, could I not run a clear tube from the bleeder valve back into the master cylinder reservoir and just cycle the existing fluid while getting the air out? This would allow me to keep the existing fluid and probably make less of a mess.

Basically pedal down, lock the bleeder, pedal up, repeat.

First off the rotor looks like it needs to move over about 1/8” or so. No you can’t hook a hose on it to recycle the fluid like that because the fluid gets aerated.

They ship ‘em with brake fluid in them? 🤔
That's what they claim.

Good to know, I won't do that process. So when you say the rotor need to move over, I assume you mean to the left towards the outside of the caliper?
