Hello. My name is Sean and I'm new to the forum. I bought a racing go kart for $400 with a predator 212 that has the governor restrictor removed. So far, all I know about it is that it has American spacing and has 1 1/8" frame rails. I'm trying to identify what the manufacturer is in the case that something on the frame breaks so I can buy replacements if necessary. There is no engine and seat on the frame currently because I'm in the process of stripping the frame down in preparation for painting. Thank you for the help!
Here's a picture:

I think what you think is the front track width adjustment is actually the front caster adjustment. All of the holes that aren't screwed onto the frame are offset with the main hole that is a part of the frame. The way I can adjust the front track width on this kart is with spacers that sit in front of and behind the wheels, held on by a nut that has a pin keeping it shut.

So I found out what kind of kart I had from a painful few hours of research. I have an MxX Demon II from the 1990's. Thank you to those that helped out.

So just to clarify... When you say the gov is out.. Is that totally removed or the linkage/rod on the motor disconnected??? ....
A bit of seriousness when it comes to this fact.. As potential motor destruction could be momentary upon starting....

The whole governor isn't removed. I'm not sure what was removed from the throttle linkage but there is nothing limiting the rpm's at full throttle. I'm new to working with the honda 4 stroke clone engines, but they're quite simple so it shouldn't take too long to learn all about it.

It's not so much as the rpm limiting... It's the gov gear inside that tends to detonate after being spun to fast... There is weights that move to actuate the gov rod.. Without something to stop it.. The metal bits and plastic gear will fly off and mess up the internals...
We typically, highly recommend either opening the case and remove it entirely, or return to spec as that will preserve what's left..
