Do these engines come with any kind of serial number or other markings that would ID a date of manufacture?

Yes, there is a white sticker. In my case DOM 2012 May.

Great! Do you know if there is an "11" in any of the laser marks in the blocK?
I would like to understand if the year is part of the serial number or the other marks.

Its very difficult to see that sticker in mine due to the seat back.

The laser marks are directly in the engine block, not in the sticker. There is a set of laser marks just below the low oil sensor and the other is on the crankshaft cover.
