Guy near me is selling this invader kart for $185. Can anyone identify this kart and is this a good deal?
Thanks

luckily most of the chassis is covered by random stuff.. so no..
identification will be rather difficult. (next to impossible)

that's a yamaha KT100 engine I'd say..
which in running condition means 200 dollars at least.

the chrome nerf bars suggest something from the eighties maybe late seventies;
the front bumper reminds me of an enduro kart (so does the pedal position)
but that steering wheel says differently *shrugs*

Invader pro 75 or later (need to see the bearing hangers to dial in on the year I'm afraid)
maybe a Mirage (the nose cone again looks shadow-aero-esque)
difficult with that much of the chassis covered up by random parts.

[EDIT]
Oh.. who'd thunk.. I now lean towards the '81 (-84??) dark star thank to it's partly visible motor mount.
that'd match the nerf bars bumper and steering wheel as well..
sooo all but the nose cone...

yeah I put my 2o cent bet on early eighties dark star

Wow, that bumper is longer than I anticipated ...
makes sense with the nose cone of course but somehow...
I'm sorry.. I have no idea *shrugs*

I think it'd be best to follow anderkarts advice and contact Rod van Deusen.

the chassis still looks dark star to me ... except for the body and bumper now;
but I can only compare your kart to other karts pictures really..
(most of which seem to originate from the website anderkart linked to anyways)
So yeah, ask the source :D

But first: Buy it.. ;)
