Anyone know what kart this is? It's a $Free.99 frame that I was planning on making a "dad kart" out of. Here is a photo of my inspiration.

I think it is a Carter Brothers out of Brundidge, AL. But not sure of the model.

Ok so I found the answer to my own question. Carter Brothers Mfg model 1435 "Hot Bodies"

The plan now is to go pick it up and start cutting and welding this into a dad size fun kart. I'm 6'-5" and 260 lbs so I'm gonna need some length, torque and some good disc brakes. LOL

I wouldn't cut it up at all. Karts were not intended for children at their inception, nor afterwards really. Young adults/teenagers and regular adults are what they are aimed at. They are made small so they can be as nimble as can be.

I'm about your size but way more muscular :D and I have no qualms about the sizes of these karts; I fully expect my knees to be in my chest and to sort of scrunch up to ride one.

If I start adding steel and adding length so I can stretch my legs out, it defeats the purpose...and it likely won't fit in the back of the minivan anymore.

I totally agree with you in the most part. I have other karts. I am thinking about building a put around the camp ground kart for comfort. I'm not aiming for nimble on this one just comfort and reliability. But nontheless, I found a lot of three karts on "LetGo" over in Dothan, AL that peaked my interest. (Karting can be a serious addiction)

I may put stretch on the back burner.
