Ok there are some good ideas on site improvements that pop up every now and again, but they are scatted across many threads.

So i wanted to colaborate them all in one thread and see what happens.

I know someone said VBullitin limites some mods but there are many ideas floating around about many topics.

first of all thread rules. To be frank, no *****ing about others ideas or sugestions. Or other uses, constructive critisisum or non at all.

ill start with being able to set the expiry of your own threads but im not sure if u can make that happen.

Ok, first, I think we need to add to the forum rules that bumping stale(older than a month)threads is frowned upon. I would much rather read 2 sentances regarding governor removal every week than read through an entire 3 page thread, only to find its been uselessly bumped.

Second, I agree with what Blaz said in another thread. A quiz would turn people off from this site. Im also a member of the allpar.com forum and Iboats(although i never use it). When I joined IBoats, there was a 'terms of use' page that you had to agree to. Im pretty sure there was one on here too. On Iboats, it encouraged new members to read some posts before posting, to see what the general tone of the site was. I think this would be good practice on this forum.

Sideways said in another thread that many other forums encouraged bumping stale threads. The problem there is that you then get threads that are 10 or 20 pages. When that happens, a wealth on information is lost because many users dont want to read the equivalent of a Harry Potter book just to find out how to remove a governor.

I love this forum because of its size, and the general tone of the forums. Its inviting(for the most part) for all ages, and questions are generally answered within a few hours. Lets try to improve it and get new members as old ones stray from karts.

but bumping threads with (lol ) is realy anoying
