Hey everyone! Been dreaming up a super go kart for a while and would like to hear your comments and ideas on what I’ve thought of.
I’m think of going almost UTV style as far as the frame, shape, etc. I’m hoping to do full independent suspension, although rear independent suspension not an absolute must. Front I would plan on doing independent with rack and pinion steering.
As far as driveline, there’s a chance I’d be using a 16hp engine, more likely something like a 7hp though. Transmission probably torque converter, and I really would like a reverse gearbox but not sure about that one yet.
Now a few questions.
Where should I look for a reverse gearbox?
Torque converter?
CV joints or U-joints for rear axle?
Rack and pinion for front steering?
A-arms for independent suspension?
