Id TC how to replace belt

Ok I’m new. I just picked this cart up a few days ago. Previous owner put the wrong belt on. I’m rebuilding the axle also. My question is how do I get the driver off the engine shaft? I thought it would just slide off. I didn’t want to apply pressure on it until I found out from someone that knows.

It should just slide off. The only thing holding it on the crank is the single bolt on the end of the crankshaft (and rust and abuse). Penetrating oil, light taps with mallet, maybe some gentle heating if it is very stuck....

A little PBBlaster and light taps with a brass hammer did the trick.

you still have the driver's bell that's missing in the pics, right?

without it the weights don't have anything to push against and the TC will not work

Yeah. I have the bell. Just didn’t include in the photo.
