Hi everyone. I love that quote from Talladega Nights. I live in the Philly area. Any way, found the site through a google search. I want to build a variation of a UTV type of vehicle crossed with some kind of a golf cart. I have two factory karts. A smaller kid size and a bigger one that fits two adults. The bigger one I got after doing some work for my brother-in-law. Had my wife in it with me, thought she wanted to jump out. Lol. Anyway, I'll read the posts here to help me out. If I get this creation working, I'll share some pictures. It all started with the 5 HP electric start honda engine I came upon for free. We shall see where this goes.

Cool, I've never bothered to get my certification but I've been a rope and saddle tree climber/trimmer/remover/cable-er for an established Arborist here since 95. We got tons of big old huge (125'+ tall/75' wide) Eucalyptus and Lipo pines here that make for some seriously challenging climbs. Some of those 100' tall Royal palms with a 10" trunk diameter swaying back and forth in the wind make for some spooky climbs too... I ain't no bucket baby yet but I'm getting older now (51) and it seems like those big trees keep getting tougher to climb every year.

See ya around the forum man, you should post some pics of your karts.

That's cool. I've been climbing 23 years myself. All east coast trees. We get some fairly large ones here in SE pennsylvania. Not called Penns Woods for nothing. It's not uncommon to stumble on an oak, ash or Tulip Poplar that reaches 135 feet. The tallest tree in PA is in Cooks State forest, a white pine that is measured at 168 or something like that. As far as diameter, probably the biggest around here are Sycamores. Not uncommon to see one 8-10 foot in diameter. I'm 43, and also no bucket baby. I know what you mean though.
