well today I got a small one seater yard kart with a GX390 Honda on it. Not a clone- a real Honda with electric start. I got the running kart for $200. Im gonna take the Honda off, clean it up and put it on my off road kart project after some major mods. Then I am going to install the 8hp clone I have on the new kart. and then it will be for sale. I will post pics here in a bit.

yes I think the 8hp will be too much for my kids. I could ship it to you possibly and I might be able to find you a cent clutch to go with.

13.5 actually and it has working electric start. the paint on the motor tin is a little faded from being in the sun but thats ok cuz Im gonna be removing the gas tank and I can powder coat the tin that is still on the motor like over the flywheel where the pull start is. I thought the motor alone was worth more than what I paid for the whole kart. Now Im looking for a small 2-3hp for the kids to use on this kart

yeah I can def understand that is why people buy clones. I will have to say though that I am impressed with the way my clone runs. But I do understand the diff between the real Honda and the Clone. I think for the long run and what I plan for it, the Honda GX390 will be nice to have. I will post pics of this kart this morning as soon as I can. I will also start a project thread for it since I already have a list of stuff to do before my kids start riding it. The boss lady (my wife) is demanding seat belts and I highly agree. (since my 8 and 6 year olds will be driving) Im gonna install either a 2.5 HP HF Blue Clone or a Briggs edger motor if I can find one on Craigslist. and finally Im going to clean it up, repaint the frame, and powder coat the wheels. and last replace the tires with some turf savers or something similiar. Also it looks like maybe this kart was a two seater at one time. So I plan to install a small double seat.
