well im making the brackets on the back of my mini chopper that the axle will go through, im using 1/4'' weldable steel and dont know how to get a 3/4'' hole in it without having to go buy a $35 3/4'' drill bit

You could drilll a bunch of smaller holes to make the 3/4 hole.

try torching a hole then grind it down, or just do what ^^^ he said.

just go to the hardware store and buy you a hole saw bit 8 .00bucks i used to use them all the time work perfect any size you need.
