I need help with basket case Tomberlin crossfire 150

I cant believe how much everything costs, Like tires are just as expensive as the ones on my car. I found back tires 22 x 11-8.00 for 38.00 ea.
I've been toying with an idea of using an old 12v winch fabing it up with a sprocket. When you pull the reverse lever the whole unit swings down onto the karts chain, release the lever and it swings back up and out of the way. Im trying to get this thing going using as little money as I possibly can even toyed with using a nissan master cylinder (80.00 is crazy) for the karts brakes This is all stuff thats laying around the shop so far. When you have a welder you have a lot more options than just throwing money at it.

What the heck kind of car do you drive that takes $38 tires?

My roommates car is a 2004 Honda Civic and we paid 35$/ tire. 48$/per after mount and balance.

BMI sells chain by the foot.

You should be able to find a place that will sell you chain per foot...or meter or whatever you measure in.

I thought the same thing but I couldnt find anywhere reasonable so I bought the 10' chain for 30.00 which is enough for 3 chains so thats 10.00 a chain and I'll keep an extra one and master link with the cart. That job is done. Now I'll get back to the seats. I found two 12v winches around the shop that I can pillage for parts to fab up my reverse. I got the idea from a you tube video, it wasnt done and operational but I think he was onto something. check it out.

Yeah, Man. 69.00 for a 22 x11x8 at Tractor supply. I did find some for 40.00 though. inner tubes cost about 30.00 fo a pair and then theres the valve stem and getting them off and on another 20. I went with the new tires. less trouble in the future even though the buggy will be in the air most of the time Im sure the landings would be a little rough on dry rotted tires.

I ordered 4 tires, brake pads, master cyl, ignition switch, and started with the tires. I couldn't put the tires on the wheels because of all the rust I found inside the wheels so I sand blasted them, welded up the rust holes and put some epoxy primer on them. I decided to order 4 inner tubes just to make sure they hold air. Next I'll tackle the brakes.
