A shaft with 2 sprockets mounted between two bearings located where you can align the sprockets to the engine and axle sprocket. As far as the gearing, mount the motorcycle driven sprocket on the axle, leave the drive sprocket on the motor. Now, as long as the two sprockets on the jackshaft are the same, the overall gear ratio will remain the same as the bike was. Choose something in between the two existing sizes that will fit easily. 520 chain is dimensionally the same as #50 roller chain except for the width. 520 is 1/4 inch wide between side plates and #50 chain is 3/8 inch (equivalent to 530 chain). #50 sprockets will be infinitely easier to find. Use #50 chain or have the #50 sprockets turned to 1/4 inch thick and use the 520 chain.

If you use 50 chain sprockets. you can use a grinder (if you're careful) to narrow the teeth. Pretty easy actually.
