i have the 12.5 ohv briggs and stratton off my old racing mower and i'm wondering how i can convert it to run horizontal:confused: i'm planing to build a mini bike or trike and put it on that.
my plan it to make a fat tire mini bike w/ 18" wheels front and back. i want to gear it to go 25-35mph its gonna be for riding in snow, mud, pretty much anywhere i can
the rims are 5 bolt lawn mower rims
tires are tubeless turf savers

ok first you need to open it up remove the oil slinger... then after that you have to make a rod dipper.. then turn the carb 90* so the bowl is facing down.. after that you gotta make up a motor mount so it can work 90* and still be strong enough to suport it.

what do you guys think i need opinions please
i might go with 2 tires in back maybe 1'' in between them
both front and back disk breaks
1.5'' or 2'' tube for the frame
braided steel gas line
electric start, battery, 2 halogen head lights
heavy duty chain and sprocket tractor maybe
low drag bike look
custom gas tank

i would use 1.5" tube for the frame, it will be lighter and easier to bend. The 12.5 makes a serious amount of torque so you should use like a 6" x 12" wide x 15" tall. Ive found that this size tire works best for high torque applications. I use them on my Shifter Karts.
