:wai: You need these three things for an engine run, spark, fuel and compression. Which one do you not have. It would help, if could give us some info on how its acting while trying to start it. Most small engine shops (Dealers) will not work on a modified engines, liability factor. DeathStarr 89, yes those are good kits, but sometimes when not using a Raptor carb and tank. You have to do some modification to get them to work.

Ok I've come to the conclusion that this carb is garbage lol. It will only start if I'm giving it starting fluid :( sounds beautiful btw, I have tried all combinations of ways to get it to run and nothing. I tried feeding a wire up through the jet out the Venturi and it seems clogged if I spray carb cleaner thru it it comes out rusty colored. I know some people run mikunis but can't find intakes for it to match it to the Briggs. So can anyone help me I need a carb manifold and a gas tank but I don't know what works. Please please help

Also is a raptor carb good? They are tunable(can change jets? right? I've heard they flow better than this fun power thing.

:wai: If it will start on starting fuild, it is not picking up fuel. Can you smell fuel in the carb throat when trying to start it? If not pull the carb and check the fuel bowl in the tank, they have been known to develop holes in the bowl. I do not know if your carb has two tubes or one. Check to make sure they are open. Also, those fuel tanks have been known to warp, therefore causing them to suck air, check with a straight edge. If warped you can use two mounting gaskets. If your put a new diaphragm in the carb, is it installed correctly. The diaphragm cover has been known to warp also, check it.

Are you sure the internal pump is operating? Is your fuel tank full?

yes i have the tank half full. and the bowl is empty i pull on the crank a couple of times and it will full the bowl. the bowl has no holes in it. the carb has one long pick up tube and the short one that draws fuel from the bowl. the short one doesnt pick up anything its clogged internally. when i got the carb i left it soaking in carb cleaner for like a day and a half. just yesterday i ran a wire up into it and it binds up inside. the tank is straight but want to go away from this set up. it has no way of changing jets or anything so im just trying to avoid it all together.

blow in the gas cap just a little till you hear gas squirt into the carb.

It's kind of a way to burp the pump/give it a little gas in the carb to fire off of.

:wai:1st, I do not understand the no way of replacing jets. Both those tubes can be replaced. Remove the short tube and see if you can find the blockage.
