I have a TAV2 30 series torq a verter, the problem is when i floor it, it hesitates and feels like ur in a car and dump the clutch because it revs up really high then it finally grabs. I think it is the flywheel thing inside the clutch.

also my engine is a tecumseh 5hp is their any performance mod that i can do? I already have exhaust! if you all know of any links or websites that would be great.

and if i put a 17 tooth sprocket on the front would it be a big difference from my 11 tooth i have now. it has a 54 tooth on the back. Thanks for any advice.

With the TAV, its a good possibility the primary clutch is sticking, take it apart and clean it out good. You can also get softer springs so it engages at a lower RPM. Your belt could also be worn down, check that.

Oscar will probly chime in and give you link to parts..You can port it out, cut the eye brows, un hook the governor etc..And if you put a 17 tooth on the front you will gain some speed, it may lose some acceleration. but the tav helps that.

hey ya i have cleaned it it did not help but i was wondering if i should replace the flywheel thing inside the clutch. if u go here http://www.gokartsupply.com/asymapp.htm and scroll down to where it says 3/4" bore driver parts breakdown, look at the diagram right under it. I think it the part that is listed #5 that is bad.

If you change the front sprocket Bigger it will give you more top end -- Less power off the line, There is a speed calulator here on the site, click up top "DIY Go Karts", then look towards the bottom on the left.
