I'll see if I can locate the plans to a compressor powered engine a kid in my class is building. It's like paper weight size but it's really interesting.

Look up single sheet plywood boats , I was looking at some the other day it was pretty neat and a jig saw is the only real power tool youd probably need. or just home made boats in general plywood fiberglass and use that little 2stroke as a motor for it haha

How about a potato gun? Mom should love that.

I would get that sled regardless. I drag so much stuff home I have to hide crap in the stickers bushes behind my house so the wife does not nag at me for packing junk home.

Also don't give up on scavenging. Sooner or later your going to score. Check with your city for when they have a free curb side pickup days. Head to those neighborhoods. You will have tillers and mowers coming out your ears. Not to mention weed wackers and what ever else folks toss out. it is a great way to get parts and motors.

Put a ad in CL asking for old motors and mowers.

Hey man whats going on with your go karts you talked about. Perhaps we can help you some on that? What the hold up on your kart?

Another way to get cheap parts is to call a scraper in your area. Tell him what your looking for. Tell him you will pay him more than scrap price. You got to make it worth his while though. great way to score mowers and go kart project.

I have 3 scrappers that call me when they find stuff. In Oregon they past a law that scrap buyers must send the sellers a check in the mail. which takes about week. So now I get a few calls a week for all kinds of motors and projects. My best score was a 1980 motron medelist moped with 1500 miles. I also got a few gt80 dirtbikes this way as well. Vertical shaft riding lawn mowers are on my hot list to the scrappers. Most of these are large eletric start engines. The older the better.

There is a art and science to scavenging. LOL

What about a riding mower racer? Those are easy to find and you have most the parts already with the mower. I seen some cool one too.

What are the chances that sled would run? Could be fun this winter. I would bring it home and part it out on ebay. Got to worth somthing. If the motor turns over and it has spark I would even buy the engine, clutch, wiring harnest and pipe from you. Part the rest out as well. Check on Ebay for parts for that model sled. It could be rare and people begging to buy parts. after all it is a vintage sled from 1971???? Thats old for a sled friend. You never know so check it out.

I like the 338cc. Thats a small sled engine. I am thinking it would be great for a smaller kart or project.

Ask your mom if you can build a shed to keep your junk in. That way you can pack things home and she will never know. Thats what I did when I was your age. The 8x10 shed was my work area.

yep just checked ebay. You can get $500 easy fir that sled by parting out on ebay.

Type in Moto-Ski Capri into ebay and check it out. Do you know anyone older that sells stuff on ebay that could help you sell? Or even drag it home and put it on Craigslist for $200 OBO or Best trade....

ha, lol, i'm tempted to make one out of sheet metal, http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2006/05/free_plans_for_one_sheet.html

i actually already made a potato cannon, as for the snow mobile, i'll see what i can do, i have sold many things on ebay before so thats not the problem, are you sure i could get 500 for this? i don't think it will be running any time soon, its got grass growing from the exhaust port, and half the parts are gone.

i have asked about a shed before, (i don't think so). also its not a riding mower,

p.s. i also don't even own an air compressor, and i'm not sure if i will be able to get one.
