i just scored this nice little welder

[bergoff]

So I went up and looked at it today and it looked great. It still had the original wire in it from 1994. It will also accept gas which he didn't know. I can't wait to get a helmet and burn something.

From what I've read these are a nice little welder. When I get back from CO I'm going to harbor freight and getting an auto darkening helmet and see what I can do.

Great deal! I know Century is tied to Lincoln somehow, but I'm not sure if it's a licensing thing, a partnership or ownership. What I do know is that I have seen Century welders at Princess auto that are way too similar to the Lincoln Weld Pak 100 to be coincidence.

EDIT- New info. Some time back, Lincoln bought Century. Now, it's just a matter of stickers that make Centurys and Lincolns different. My new Century Wire Feed 100 is absolutely identical to my old Lincoln Weld Pak 100 down to the very last detail, except for the graphics.
