0-60 in about 3 seconds.
Drives by itself as long as there's lines on the road.
Huge freaking I pad thing built into the dash. It controls everything, as well as online stuff.
The car can be remotely moved using an app.
The same app will allow you to control the interior temp before you ever get in.

it only has a range of about 180 though.

How does it charge? Is it a typical 120v or 220v plugin? Sounds too fancy for me.

Something about a charging station.
I don't know if he has one at his house, but I'd assume such.

When the charge starts getting low, it alerts you to the nearest one.

If someone parks too close, you push a button on the phone, and the cars backs out of the spot.

Don't know how to parallel park? No problem, it'll do that for you too.

Kinda the same when I drove my son's Leaf. He's got a charging station at home and free charging around Grand Rapids MI.

To bad they are so destructive to the environment.

I don't know from this.

Do not get me started, ok
So the Leaf and the Tesla are all electric, therefore 0 emissions.
The fools in Ca and the Obama admin. would have you believe this is good.
Problem is they use Lithium Ion Batteries, the Production and end of life destruction of these batteries is Terrible for the environment.
FAR Worse than If the the cars had just been internal combustion engines.

So the whole thing is a hoax for stupid people err... I mean
Cave dwelling, Prius driving, knuckle dragging, Granola munching, Hippies! .

Except the fact that the Tesla is a bad azz fun to drive FAST friggin Car.

The Leaf is a nice quiet car. I would love to drive a Tesla.

The thing about zero emissions vehicles is, unless these vehicles are charged by a renewable energy source, they really aren't. 70% of the electric production in the U.S. comes from fossil fuels. Personally if someone gave me a Tesla that was charged by burning old car tires I'd be all for it. As long as I was exempt from prosecution, like coal powered electric plants are.

Still there is an alarming number of people that think they are doing the environment a favor by driving an electric car.

I don't know about being a hippie, but when I take my edible medicine, I really enjoy granola bars. Doritos too.

Yes. I totally see the hypocrisy.

I wonder whatever happened to the idea of grinding up old tires and putting them in the asphalt for roads?

Apparently, Hippies means something totally different today than when I was growing up.

Umm yes. At least as far as the way I use it.
However in my previous post I could have substituted "Troglodite" instead of hippie.
Birkenstock wearing, Starbuck Sipping, Cave dwelling, Prius driving, knuckle dragging, Granola munching, Troglodites.
