I haz old Generator

Yesterday I got a 1950s Homelite 24A115-2 generator from my uncle(We are still cleaning out Grandpas house). Cleaned the points in the WICO magneto and she ran. I plugged a drill in and it ran the drill fine. Did I mention its a 2 smoker?

I fully plan on running it on the called for 10:1 mix with 30 weight oil, on earth day. If I cant get the oil in time 16:1 with 2 stroke oil will have to do. Pics soon and vids on the 22nd!

Engine is somewhere in the 100-150cc range. There is no governor on this engine, nor does it have a throttle of any kind. its on or off, only adjustment is a mixture adjustment. Appears to be rotary valve. Need to find a NOS air clear assembly or make something up. Carb kinda reminds me of a briggs 5hp. You can see what looks to be the original pull rope on the head.

Every outlet besides the light socket on top is a 2 wire twist lock, it has one homemade adapter on it. Large muffler is VERY quiet, the currently open intake is louder.

See red button? Thats the kill switch, conveniently located next to the flywheel running at ~3600 RPM.

21.7 amps at 115 volts, that comes out to 2500 watts.

There is a drain valve on the crankcase, dunno why, looks factory.

The gas tank cap doubles as a oil measure SIX cap fulls is supposed to go into the pictured one gallon can.
