I have a honda clone 6.5 and I am trying to set up a throttle cable on it. I have seen vids on how to do it but every one has a throttle bar on theres. Can I hook the throttle to the govoner arm? My cart when I got it is missing the throttle arm, is there a place were I can buy it? Any one around the dallas area that may be able to help me?

You don't want to hook your throttle to the governor arm unless you are removing the governor from inside the crankcase.

I hope you can find a replacement throttle mechanism, but if you can't, I would suggest removing the governor and adapting your engine to suit.

the only thing there to put the trottle cable to is the govener lever and the springthat goes to the black throller piece on the carb....

Well, usually the throttle arm pulls a spring which is linked to the governor arm... I see no reason you can't attach a spring to the end of your throttle cable, then attach that spring to your governor arm. Obviously it'd need a bit of fine tuning, but it would be somewhere to start at least.

If you wouldn't mind doing away with the governor altogether, that would probably be the easier method though.

Side note, most phones can text a picture to email addresses... if you text it to yours you could save the pic to your computer then post it here.

If you disconnect the arm externally, you will deactivate it, but the internals are liable to break and damage the motor's guts, so it's best to fully remove all governor components and plug the hole in the block.
