Some people are like small engines. They like to be choked to turn them on. If you keep choking them, they will die.

And some are turned on by pulling some parts, some are turned on by pushing some parts.

And I think extending this to the PTO shaft would just taking this joke too far :D .

Deleted post. Wasn't trying to be offensive, just showing my slightly alot twisted humor. Sorry.

to be clear, this has nothing to do with personal experience. Some people are just into weird stuff, and I am talking about small engines here aren't I? If you leave the choke on after they warm up, they just die. Like this thread is going to do very soon i think.

Or in the case of an engine that has carb issues, it needs constant choke. Which I would equate to someone who needs a constant boot to the rear to get going, etc.

Proper lubrication is necessary for good performance.

Electric starters get em going a whole lot quicker.

Over time, too much ethanol will start screwing up all sorts of things.

The ones that are the most fun are usually the most dangerous.

You can spend a small fortune buying fancy parts for it, but it could still blow up and leave you disappointed at any moment.

A 50 year old Briggs can run just as hard (if not harder) than a shiny new predator.

If there's no spark, it's not going to get going no matter what you do.
