MancoGX390
Just tinkering...
Hi there folks, my name is Ollie, I am 14 and live in Devon, England. I've been here dipping around and asking questions and sometimes, helping. Everyone here has just been so helpful and the community vibe I get every time I log on to the site is amazing. I just love looking down through all the new threads and seeing what people are doing. I purchased my first petrol go kart when I was 12, it was a one wheel peel with a battered but ran sweet as a pot of honey GX160 5.5hp engine, the kart looked pretty bad I must admit but I had some fun on it and broke many parts on it several times!
Before that I had several pedal karts but sold them when I really got into petrol karts. The second petrol kart I bought was my beloved Manco Dingo. I searched for ages on eBay and other places for a decent kart and one popped up for sale in Sailsbury which was about a 4 hour round trip from my house, so I stuck watching the page and eventually won the auction and got the kart for £250 which was a bargain! We went up to pick it up and it was in perfect condition! The only bad thing was, dad left his socket set at home and the back wheels were to wide to to go into the van enough to close the back doors properly, so we ended up tying it in the back of the van with bungee cords and then closing the doors as much as possible and then bungee cording them too! It was great fun but we got it home unscaved. The dingo had a 8hp briggs and Stratton flathead on it that was pretty knackered but we got it working for a little bit but when it decided to die half way round my circuit in my field and I had to push it all the way back in, I decided a new engine was going to be needed and that's when my GX390 came in.
I still have the old briggs motor and plan to repair it and use it on a one wheel peel kart just for fun, but that won't happen any time soon! I won't blabber on about the Dingo any longer. My third kart as many of you know is a UK made Wasp with a GX160, we also got this one for a bargain, it was very close in fact only 20 miles away from my house so I won the auction and got it for £310, when we got there to pick it up the owner wasn't to happy that we got it for £310 because he had bought a whole new genuine honda engine for it which was £350 and also spent £200 on a powder paint coat for it! So I was a very happy boy! Anyway, I am interested in karts and computers! Thanks everyone for helping me out and being friendly and making this site, the best site to be a part of!

It's a fact that people are much more inclined to read a lot of text if it's broken up into small paragraphs as opposed to one large chunk... just saying
