I got another free engine!!

My neighbor across the road gave me a genuine GX120 this afternoon. He says he has two more just like it coming to me for free, and possibly an 18hp twin of some variety. He works for a mega corporation that's scrapping a few lawnmowers right now and he's getting me the enigines for free.

I'm not extremely engine savvy--what's the horsepower rating on a 120?

4 I think. He's always feeding me beer. I help him do stuff, and I offered to pay him but he said no way. I think it has the 14cc head too. Seems to have good compression and pull over alright.

Tore into the carb, and sure enough, green crap that looked like diesel drained out before it stopped altogether. Yank the bowl, and the needle wasn't letting any fuel in, and it's NASTY in there. I got the needle flowing and tried it, but no dice. Waiting on my neighbor on this side of the road to get home because the only can of carb cleaner I own is in his shop.

I like pure 100% gasoline. It even appears to smell slightly different. Better, in fact. :arf:

I didn't know what it was, just that it's nasty. I'll get it cleaned up and running and then pirate the fan and head for my minibike.

Just noticed it's reduced. It's two to one because it has one compression event per revolution of the pulley.
