Toque converter (30 series with comet belt) good for cruising don’t make cutch noise at all and they work as engine brakes when you start idling while your moving also where did you get the head from?

What clutch were you using up until this point?
What engine is that?

Show us photos of the other side where the drive system is (chain, sprocket, etc) so we can see what will fit there.

Make sure you are running an air cleaner at all times out there in the desert.
