Hold off on this a couple of days to see if it gets any strongly dissenting opinions.................
A product that's often useful as a diagnostic tool is a spray can of starting fluid when sprayed into a motor's intake. Often getting a motor to fire and rev once is all it takes to get it running enough for a diagnosis and fix of whatever's wrong, and that hyper-flammable (is it ether?) starting fluid will start up almost anything that has a spark.
Failure of a motor to fire with starting fluid is also useful for diagnostics, nearly always means spark failure.
